Designed, printed, cut, and protected as one complete exterior-sign project.
Urban Architectural Finishes developed the Bokenko Lake Retreat artwork specifically for its lakefront setting. The full-scale composition was printed directly onto PVC panel board, then hand-cut to create the sign's distinctive silhouette.
Before production, we created a customer-facing placement mockup on the boathouse to settle the finished size and project price. That visualization was a planning tool—not the completed installation shown above.
PVC was selected as a rot-resistant alternative to wood for the exposed boathouse location. After printing and cutting, the panel received a separate Mural Guard protective coating for extended direct-sun and exterior exposure.

Precision in Motion
UAF printed and cured the artwork across the full PVC sheet one pass at a time. Once printing was complete, the panel was cut by hand to follow the artwork's curved border and create the final sign profile.
Material Honesty
Engineering for the Elements
Exterior applications demand clear material information. The ink and protective coating carry separate ratings; they are presented independently rather than combined into a single lifespan or warranty claim.
2-Year Ink Rating
The direct-to-substrate UV-cured ink carries a two-year direct-sun UV rating before the addition of a protective topcoat.
10-Year Mural Guard Rating
The Mural Guard protective coating is rated for ten years in direct sunlight. It was applied over the finished print as a separate exterior-protection layer.
